Marvel studio will produce Doctor Strange 2

Marvel Studios is definitely going to make  Doctor Strange 2 , at some point. Thanks to the ever-expanding nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, those in charge of the universe have been blessed with an abundance of riches. They've relied heavily on the original Avengers for three phases, but also introduced new leads to take their place in Phase 4 and beyond. One of them should be Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, but  Marvel is being cagey on the character's future . After a stellar debut with  Doctor Strange , he had a brief cameo in  Thor: Ragnarok , and then was prominently featured in  Avengers: Infinity War . Despite the reception to Cumberbatch, though, there hasn't been any news on a sequel. It has long been expected that  director Scott Derrickson will return  to the franchise if a sequel happens, but that's about it. Everyone's been left in the dark about the future so far, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige assures a ...

Spiderman:far from home filming starts soon

Fans will be excited to hear that filming for the upcoming film  Spider-Man: Far From Home  is scheduled to kick off in two weeks, basing its production in London but extending to locations throughout Europe, as well as in the character’s home state of New York. Considering the locations, the  title for the follow-up to  Spider-Man: Homecoming , which was revealed on star Tom Holland’s Instagram account, makes sense. The Sony-distributed  Spider-Man: Homecoming  hit theaters in 2017 and was the most recent cinematic reboot of the character. This newest incarnation was previously set up in  Captain America: Civil War  via a lengthy scene that featured Holland as Peter Parker and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, aka. Iron Man. Various rumors and reveals have made headlines en route to  Spider-Man: Far From Home ’s announcement, and Marvel Studios chief  Kevin Feige was previously quoted  on the globe-spanni...

Ant-man and the wasp may have two post credit scene

Ant-man and the wasp   held its world premiere screening this past weekend and it can now be reported that the final Marvel Cinematic Universe release for 2018 will have two post-credits scenes during and after its closing credits. While  Marvel Studios  didn't invent the post-credits sequence, it certainly has popularized sneaking Easter eggs (or what are commonly called "stinger" scenes) into the closing credits of its films. It all began with  Iron Man , which stunned those viewers who waited until the end of the credits with a scene in which Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) was approached by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) about something called "The Avengers Initiative." That scene was not even a minute long, but it would lay the foundation for what became the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a proud tradition of foreshadowing the next Marvel films with these stingers. How Josh Brolin was inspired to play Thanos in the MCU

Josh Brolin was inspired to play Thanos in  Avengers: Infinity War   by Benedict Cumberbatch's role in  The Hobbit .  Brolin voices the title character in the box office mega-hit after first making his debut appearance in James Gunn's  Guardians of the Galaxy  back in 2014. Avengers: Infinity War  is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, and it has been heralded as Thanos' film ever since the start of production. This film was meant to showcase Thanos' story and his journey to obtaining all six Infinity Stones, which he used to wipe out half of all life in the universe. But before all that happened, Marvel Studios needed to find the right person to play the Mad Titan. Brolin was eventually cast in the role, but that doesn't mean he didn't hesitate to accept the gig

Chris Hemsworth may likely sign another contract with MCU

Chris Hemsworth has only just wrapped production on Avengers 4, but it sounds like he's far from done with the character. According to an interview with IGN, the Ragnarok star's MCU contract is now done, but Taika Waititi's threequel and his work on the Russos' ensembles has inspired his enthusiasm for the character. “I’ve just, literally two days ago, finished Avengers 4 and that’s my contract – my preexisting contract is done now, so it’s kind of like, ‘Wow, that’s it.’ Two or three films ago I was like, ‘Okay, a couple more.’ I was enjoying it but I was like… I felt a little restricted. And after this last experience with Taika, and actually these last two Avengers, I feel like we’ve reinvented the character a number of times – even in these next two, he evolves again, and you don’t get that opportunity often in a franchise. So I definitely feel a renewed sense of excitement and enthusiasm, and more so than ever, I think.” That's all particularly interesting -...
